Tantalise Your Tastebuds with a Homade Version of Laffy Taffy!
Fruity and most definitely chewy, this taffy recipe will have your friends and family asking for more. Be sure to make enough!

Ingredients:
1 Cup sugar
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon flavoured extract of your choice
2 drops food colouring of your choice
Instructions:
- Grease a heatproof pan and set aside.
- Fit a saucepan with a candy thermometer.
- Add the sugar to the pan.
- Sift cornstarch into pan and stir until combined well.
- Add the butter, light corn syrup, salt, water, vanilla, and flavour extract to the pan and whisk to combine.
- Turn on heat to medium and until the mixture reaches 120 degrees C or 250 degrees F.
- Add the food colouring and stir.
- Pour mixture in prepped pan and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Now that you are able to handle the candy, stretch it out 30 cm or 12 inches and fold it over itself. Do this again and again for 10-12 minutes.
- The taffy should turn opaque.
- On a greased surface, cut the taffy into bite sized pieces.
- Wrap each piece in baking paper.
- Enjoy!
