Homemade Lolly Slice: A Kiwi Classic but with Only 5 ingredients!

Found at most birthday parties across Aotearoa, this lolly cake is made even easier with only 5 ingredients. Don’t worry, it make be skimping on ingredients but not in the flavour! Have a go and enjoy the timeless taste.

Ingredients:

120 grams of butter, melted
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
1 packet malt biscuits, crushed
1 packet of Fruit Puffs or Explorers, chopped
¼ cup coconut

 

Instructions:

  1. Line an 8 inch baking pan with baking paper.
  2. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and sweetened condensed milk together.
  3. Add in crushed biscuits and lollies and mixed together.
  4. Put mixture into the pan and spread across to cover the whole pan.
  5. Press mixture down to make sure it is compact.
  6. Sprinkle coconut over the top.
  7. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  8. Cut into slices and enjoy!

 

Notes:

  • Instead of refrigerating, you can store in the freezer for 20 minutes and then cut and serve.
  • tore in an air tight container in the fridge for up to a week./li>
